How to look at Religious Paintings is the fourth and final in a series of four talks concentrating on the piece – Christ Discovered in the Temple, 1342. This piece can currently be seen in the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. Emma will share her enthusiasm for this chance to see a masterpiece close up.
This talk will decipher the story told in this and other medieval pictures, and find the emotional, human dramas played out against gold backgrounds and jewel-like colours.
