Altrincham BID provides additional or improved services above and beyond those provided by the local authority, to make Altrincham a better place to do business. Business-funded and business-led, Altrincham BID is responsible for a program of footfall-driving events, seasonal campaigns and year-round deep cleaning. The BID also manages business-related press enquiries, produces ‘Visit Altrincham’ and is the organisation that puts forward awards submissions - leading to successes such as the town’s Great British High Street award. As a collective voice for the town’s businesses, the BID is able to offer cost-saving initiatives, networking events and business training opportunities.

Altrincham BID’s first 5-year term ran from April 2016 and in November 2021 the businesses voted by a majority of 86% in favour of a further 5-year term. The BIDs activity is guided by the 5-year Business Plan which the Levy paying businesses voted on.
