Altrincham has consistently outperformed national retail metrics and is widely regarded as a great place to live, work, shop, and enjoy leisure. Footfall has grown year after year, while retail vacancy rates have dropped. New businesses are choosing Altrincham, and established ones are thriving. The town’s success can largely be attributed to the Altrincham BID, which has played a pivotal role in its transformation since 2016. Seasonal events and value-added services provided by the BID have been key drivers of growth and business success.

The BID team, led by Mandy, Kate, and Jo, has leveraged the town’s natural assets and diverse economy, creating an excellent environment for businesses. Their dedication and strong connections within Greater Manchester and the UK’s BID community have further strengthened Altrincham’s appeal. It has been a pleasure to serve on the BID Board and contribute to their efforts over the past five years.”

Over the duration of our contracts the consultant was able to achieve a combined saving of around £10k for us across utilities and telecom services. We’re saving the cost of our BID levy, and more, many times over and would definitely recommend the scheme to other BID businesses. If you don’t engage with the cost saving scheme you are almost certainly losing money.”
