Working Groups
Business Walking and Cycling
This group meets quarterly, and its key objective is to look at ways to support and encourage Altrincham's business community to cycle, walk and use more sustainable modes of transport. The group’s founding Chair was Pete Swift, MD Planit-IE and it is currently chaired by Cllr Michael Welton and Rob Reed from the Bicycle Society supported by Altrincham BID.

Town Management
The Town Management Group meets every six weeks. The aim of the meeting is to look at ways of addressing issues like fly tipping, graffiti, commercial bins, retail security and any other town management matters. The meeting is attended by BID board member Liz McKinlay, Manager M&S, representatives from Trafford Council and Amey, Greater Manchester Police, the Stamford Quarter, Altrincham Interchange, Our Altrincham and an Altrincham resident, as well as interested BID businesses.

Landlord's Forum
This group will brings together landlords, letting agents and developers.
The purpose of the group is to:
- To enhance understanding of the commercial and residential property market in Altrincham
- To improve the appearance of vacant properties where possible
- To identify any emerging trends/issues in the town centre
- To discuss consultations/planning applications
- To update on developments in progress and planned
- To influence the future make-up of the town centre
- To facilitate information sharing between private landlords, letting agents, developers, and Trafford Council
Recycling and Compostable Packaging
This groups aim is to look at issues around the disposal of compostable and recyclable packaging. Three-quarters of the town's coffee shops have invested in compostable packaging and the purpose of the group is to share best practice and to look at ways of collectively improving the system. The group is attended by BID businesses and a representative from Environmental Services at Trafford Council.
Goose Green Festival
The Goose Green Festival working group meets regularly in the run-up to the festival which is an annual feature in Altrincham’s calendar. The group works on planning and promotion for the festival and is mostly made up of the Goose Green traders but all BID businesses in that part of the town are welcome to join.
