Are you new to using a DSLR or mirrorless camera, using it mainly on AUTO and don’t know what all the menus and buttons do? You like photography and want to be able to take creative pictures of people, landscapes, wildlife, still life and more, using the best settings and the right light. This course is for people who currently use the automatic settings on their camera, and would like to have more creative control, using settings like aperture, shutter speed and ISO.  You will need a camera that offers aperture and shutter priority modes, for example a bridge camera, DSLR or mirrorless camera.  You will learn:  How to set the aperture, shutter speed and ISO to give you total creative control.  How to freeze or blur movement.  How to photograph fast action.  How to focus accurately.  How to create soft focus backgrounds on portraits, still life etc.  How to photograph in different light conditions, indoors and outdoors.  How to control the brightness of your image and how to create different moods e.g. light and airy or dark and moody.  How to use simple rules and techniques to improve your composition.  How to edit your photographs.  The day:  10.

00 – classroom – review, composition and editing.  For lunchtime you can bring your own food or visit one of the many cafes in Altrincham.  For safety reasons they will supply water for drinking but cannot provide hot drinks.
