The book they will be discussing in May is The Bat by Jo Nesbo.
This is the first of the Harry Hole novels, introducing the character, but it was very late in being translated to English. The British and American publishers chose to start by translating the later books, set in Oslo, and only after these became very popular came around to publishing the first book, set in Australia.
Crime and Nourishment is a book club and social dining group for fans of crime fiction (and food)!
Every month they meet to socialise over a meal then chat about their chosen book. They also occasionally welcome local authors as guest speakers. It is very informal, probably a little different to any book club you may have been to before…and that’s the way they like it. Their meeting is in the upstairs room of Rustic Bar on Stamford New Road in Altrincham.
