The Stamford Quarter is hosting a FREE Family Garden Festival on Saturday 13th August
The Stamford Quarter is hosting its very own Garden Festival on 13th August with a fantastic line up of sizzling summer food and drink and the best in live music courtesy of Stutter & Twitch and there’s also the added bonus of arts and craft workshops courtesy of Inch Arts.
Located in the Not So Secret Garden the Festival is perfect for the whole family to enjoy and starts at 12.00pm til late. There will be hot dogs and cocktails from Stutter & Twitch available throughout the day with the best live music line up bringing all the summer vibes. All tastes of music are catered for from Calypso bands, Gypsy Jazz and Stutter & Twitch’s favourites Dom Halpin and The Honey Bees and DJ to take everyone to sunset.
All age groups will be able to take part in the renowned Inch Arts drop in workshops which will be located on the Mall from 12.00pm-4.00pm. The team will be creating a group piece with a Festival theme that includes making a group bunting where each person adds a piece using paper and fabrics, a large hand-print flower banner where each person draws around their hand and decorates it which then are put together to make flower petals. There will also be the chance to make individual flags using fabrics and basic stitching.
To really get into the festival spirit they will be joined by the most beautiful glitter and face painting which is free to everyone who attends. From boho to fairies to glitter and sparkles they have it all.
Whether choosing to spend the whole day or dropping by there’s plenty of room with tables, chairs and benches and lots of space to dance away til late.
