The Not So Secret Garden is having a Spring-themed Makeover

Stamford Quarter’s ‘Not So Secret Garden’  looks forward to Spring makeover & Easter fun

  • The ‘Not So Secret Garden’ receives Spring-themed transformation in time for Easter
  • The space to become a nature inspired ‘Wildlife Garden’ for Easter
  • A FREE must-visit hotspot offering food, drink, activities, workshops and free entertainment for all the family

Stamford Quarter’s green suburban oasis, the ‘Not So Secret Garden’, is set to be transformed for Easter, with a full Spring-themed makeover and a programme of free activities. Expect a wild Spring oasis as the space is taken over with high rise knitted flowers, larger than life butterflies and animal installations, transforming the popular area into a vibrant Wildlife themed Garden.

The ‘Not So Secret Garden’ – first launched in June 2021 by Bruntwood Works – will once again offer a whole host of activities, food and drink, entertainment and family fun to the local community, in the newly created ‘Wildlife Garden’.

Taking the space back to nature, Easter at Stamford Quarter will encompass everything there is to love about Spring, with a particular focus on wildlife, nature and sustainability.

Between 12th and 14th April and kicking off the activities will be ‘The Hare & the Easter Eggs’ free treasure trail around the town, produced by Altrincham BID, starting at the Not So Secret Garden.

From 15th April (Good Friday) to Saturday 16th April, between 11am-11pm, there will be a two-day family fun-filled festival of entertainment and free Easter-themed workshops including Inch Art’s flower art canvas and hedgehog house building and masterclasses from the Cheshire Beekeeper’s Association and Eco Warriors. There’s also sessions to encourage mindfulness through nature by exploring the importance of self-care and being kind to our bodies by Just Relax. Children will get the chance to pot their own plants to take away whilst focussing on positive affirmations and the significance of living a healthy, happy life.

The area will play host to a variety of exciting street food traders with the Not So Secret Garden’s Pergola offering plenty of comfy seating and a place to relax and absorb the atmosphere and regular entertainment from wildlife street performers and live music on both 15th and 16th April.  Resident bar Stutter and Twitch will be serving up hot dogs courtesy of their new cart alongside local plant-based trader, Panc Foods who will be on hand offering a delectable selection of sweet and savoury treats.

The ‘Not So Secret: Wildlife Garden’ will be opening its doors on 15th April, open from 11am-11pm.

The plans for Easter’s ‘Wildlife Garden’ will be just the beginning of a rolling programme of events for the hub throughout the year, with plans already underway for a ‘Garden party’  themed around the Jubilee celebration in June.
