Stamford Quarter Welcomes Muse Studio Jewellery

Muse Studio Jewellery

The Stamford Quarter in Altrincham has welcomed a brand new local, independent retailer to the high street as Muse Studio Jewellery opened their first bricks and mortar shop and studio on George Street on 27th November.

Muse Studio Jewellery is located next to Jake Shoes on George Street and sells a carefully curated collection of handcrafted, sustainable jewellery. A creative hub on the high street, the store also houses an onsite jewellery workshop where customers can see the pieces being crafted live by the studio team.

Originally created by local retired nurse Lynne Taylor, the Manchester-based, family-owned business has built up a large and devoted following online with the brand’s sustainable, handmade jewellery winning an army of fans and featuring in the likes of Vogue and British GQ since they established the business in 2013. Now Muse Studio Jewellery has joined the Stamford Quarter community as part of plans by Bruntwood Works and Trafford Council to transform the high street and create a thriving, mixed-use destination in the heart of Altrincham.

The business is now pioneered by Lynn’s granddaughter Georgia and all the jewellery is designed and handcrafted in their UK studio by a team dedicated to creating luxury pieces that are affordable and sustainable. There is a focus on recycled silver and gold across all the collection and the team recycle all their own material and precious metal waste with all packaging is paper-based and fully recyclable too.

Taking inspiration from her love of travelling the globe, Georgia creates pieces that encompass both the richness of travel and a chic minimalist style. The collection is diverse with bold and timeless pieces for women, men and even pets!

It’s handcrafted, British-made luxury arriving in Altrincham just in time for Christmas.

Muse Jewellery joins the family of Stamford Quarter brands and activities already in place including Stutter and Twitch, the Not So Secret Garden and the Pop Up Shop which has hosted dozens of independent local enterprises on the high street since it also opened on George Street in April.

James Tootle, Head of Retail at Bruntwood Works said:

“We are delighted that Georgia and her talented team are joining the Stamford Quarter community. It’s great to see a local, independent business like Muse Studio Jewellery choosing to bring their product to the high street and take the leap from online to bricks and mortar. The onsite studio and workshop will mean that customers can do more than just buy jewellery – they can watch the pieces being made and experience first-hand the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. We believe that the high street is the heart of a town and we are building a strong community of independent businesses at the Stamford Quarter, all of whom can play a role in this next exciting chapter”.
