Originally founded in 2016 the Parasol retail concept is built with Home, Travel and Life in mind.

After outgrowing its Alderley Edge store last year, Parasol Retail Limited has been tirelessly looking for the perfect new location in Cheshire and South Manchester. This has culminated in the new store, opening on George Street in Altrincham in October.

The new store has been designed and project managed by highly experienced and respected space design expert Kevin Gill, and his team at One Fine Day Design.

Parasol has developed its own unique style with a globally curated selection of travel-focused accessories, lifestyle, clothing, and gifting products. The new store will feature brands including Carhartt, New Balance, Clarks, Yeti and Sunspel amongst others.

On news of announcing the new store opening, Director and Co-owner Tim Gardiner said.
“With the severe challenges that retailers in the UK have been experiencing, we believe there are great high street location opportunities for independent retailers such as us, the key is to have a distinct identity and a carefully curated brand line-up and this is what our team has achieved with the new Altrincham store”.

“We believe that Altrincham is the ideal location to host our continued development of the Parasol brand and feel we sit perfectly with the existing retail and hospitality offering that Altrincham has been successfully evolving.”

Parasol Retail Limited is also the owner of Yards Store, with both fascias having a very strong online presence. Bricks and mortar locations also exist in Manchester city centre via Yards Store on Old Bank Street and the neighbouring Fjallraven Manchester store.
