Inch Arts Showcases Talent in Open Exhibition

An exhibition showcasing the talents of artists from across the region is opening to the public on Saturday October 23 at Altrincham’s arts centre, Inch Arts.
A wide range of paintings, oils, water colours and other media in styles to suit every taste will be on display at the gallery on Stamford New Road (Opposite Altrincham Metrolink), until January 14 2022.
Both professional and amateur artists were invited to submit work which was then considered by a panel of professionals who made a final selection of the art to be displayed.
The works encompass everything from the traditional to the quirky and unique, including a large abstract piece in the medium of coffee.
There will be the opportunity to purchase the work of contributor Steve Rigby who appeared on “Sky Arts Landscape Artist of The Year” in 2018 and was shortlisted as a wildcard winner.
Entry is free and all the work is for sale with prices ranging from a few pounds to more than £1,000. A catalogue of all artwork will be available.
One of the judges, James Taylor aka Scribblejim, said: “The diverse styles and media were fantastic making our job very hard. As a professional artist I understand how difficult it is to put your work out into the world”
CEO Jo Cushing said:
“This is an ideal opportunity to admire the diverse range of talent on display and browse for that special Christmas gift, whilst supporting local artists. We are delighted with the response we received and the quality of the work submitted and to be a part of the re-emergence of artists after such a difficult time for everyone. I would just like to thank all the artists who participated and all our supporters.”
Exhibition opening hours are: Monday-Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday: 12-4pm.
