The Runner’s Guide to the Altrincham 10k including special offers from Altrincham’s businesses
On Sunday 4th September thousands of runners will be taking part in the second Altrincham 10k, which starts and finishes in the town centre. The race starts at 9.30 and the event village will be on Cross Street and Stamford New Road. There will be a road closure on Stamford New Road from 6am-12pm. The warm-up will be led by Orangetheory Fitness from the stage in the event village. The start line is adjacent to Evuna, who have 2 and 3 course special offers all day. Runners will leave the town via The Downs which will be closed from 9am-9.40am. The finish line will be on Moss Lane.

The event village will include GMP Bike Marking, TfGM’s Active Travel Roadshow, Alty Radio, Sports Massages with Harris & Ross who are based at Total Fitness and the Runthrough kit stall. There will also be music on the course and on the stage pre and post race.
Many of the town’s cafes and coffee shops will be opening early including Gran T’s Coffee House, Cafe Nerd and Common Ground who are all open from 8.30am and there are also lots of fantastic venues to celebrate after the race, as well as offers for runners from many of the town’s businesses. The Altrincham 10k is open to runners of all abilities whether it will be your first 10k or your 50th, this fast route offers a perfect chance for a chip timed, personal best with full road closures during the event.
The 2022 Altrincham 10k will start and finish in the town centre of Altrincham. Each mile will be accurately marked out with distance flags you can’t miss and there will be plenty of helpers along the course to keep you on track and encourage you all the way to the finish line.
