Share Your Story will help people develop their creative skills in areas including photography, creative writing, videography and podcasting.

It will do this by offering selected cost-effective equipment for sale, along with advice, support and training to make the best of the equipment, and a community for people to share their creations. It will sell inspirational books and presents for creative people, as well as giving people the chance to create prints and gifts such as mugs and keyrings from their photographs and writing.

The store will also include a ‘Creative Hub’ where customers can take part in training courses or workshops and try out new equipment. Expert local trainers including Jane Burkinshaw of Love Your Lens and  Rowena Roberts of Words Inspire will use this as a base for their existing successful courses.

Founder Simon Hepburn, who lives locally in Timperley, comments,

‘There’s huge interest in storytelling – the recent interest in film cameras, journalling and podcasting for example. And many people have cameras and other equipment at home that they want to use but haven’t had the support to use them.

‘So we’re here to help people make the most of what they have, as well as giving them the opportunity to try new things and share their creations.’

Share Your Story’s planned opening is in early May 2025 and it will create 4 direct jobs as well as offering a base for more local expert trainers to offer courses.
