Join the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse to celebrate their 110th anniversary with a fantastic FREE Open Day on Sunday, 14th July from 11am-4pm. This fun-filled event is perfect for families, theatre enthusiasts, and the local community. Experience a day packed with exciting activities, special tours, and unique performances that showcase the rich history and vibrant future of Altrincham’s beloved theatre.

Event Highlights include:

Behind the Scenes Tours & Displays: Ever wondered what happens behind the curtain? Join one of the FREE backstage tours to discover the secrets of set production, costume creation, and the history behind the Garrick name. Tours will run in small groups from 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm. Sign up for a timeslot upon arrival in our foyer.

Bouncy Castle & Kids Get Creative Stall: Perfect for the little ones! Let them bounce to their hearts’ content and unleash their creativity with fun craft activities.

Craft Stalls & Scripts, Costumes & Props Sale: Browse unique handmade crafts and take home a piece of theatre history with our special sale items.

Food & Drink: Enjoy refreshments from Altrincham’s Gran T’s Coffee House and Bunzy Burgers.  The Garrick bar will be open throughout the day and ice creams will also be available.

Face Painting & Raffle: Get your face painted with fun designs and enter the raffle and tombola to win exciting prizes whilst also supporting our roof restoration fund.

Live Broadcast by Radio Alty: Tune into the event’s live atmosphere with community radio station Radio Alty.

Wimbledon Viewing: Tennis fans can catch the action live in the bar, ensuring you don’t miss a moment of the championship.

Matilda –  Sunday, 14th July at 4:30 PM (immediately following the Open Day)
