Businesses join forces to offer warmth and comfort to local residents

Two Altrincham businesses are doing their bit to make winter more comfortable for local residents by offering a warm, welcoming indoor space and freshly baked biscuits.

Sara Fixter of Full Circle Funeral Partners on Ashley Road is opening a comfortable room in her premises to members of the public as part of the nationwide Warm Spaces initiative. Hayley Hadfield, co-owner of Off the Wheaten Track deli, which she runs with her husband Dave on nearby Oxford Road, will provide her speciality Amaretti biscuits for visitors to enjoy free of charge.

This will be the second year Full Circle has been involved in the Warm Spaces scheme, which aims to ensure everyone has somewhere warm and friendly to go and no-one is ever left to get through winter alone.

Sara said: “Our interiors have been specially designed to support wellbeing and we are delighted to be able to share them through the winter months so that people can enjoy a warm, safe, welcoming place, a hot drink, free wi-fi and company.

“I am over the moon that Hayley has decided to get involved this year by providing some of her delicious vegan amaretti biscuits free of charge for our visitors.

“Off the Wheaten Track was one of the first businesses in Altrincham to welcome us when we moved into Ashley Road and we have become big fans of their wonderful gluten free cakes, bakes, and savoury treats.”

Hayley added: “The interiors at Full Circle Funerals are not at all what you would expect from a funeral director and the fact that Sara and Jez are such friendly people makes them the perfect hosts for the Warm Welcome campaign.

“We are really pleased to be supporting them this year and bringing a little bit of extra comfort to anyone who might be struggling with loneliness or keeping warm this winter with a weekly supply of our bestselling amaretti bites.”

Anyone in the community can come along to Full Circle Funeral Partners at 23 Ashley Road on Tuesdays from 11.30am-1.30pm. Free hot drinks, Off the Wheaten Track biscuits and wi-fi are available. There is no need to book and you will receive a very warm welcome. To find out more about Warm Spaces and other local places taking part visit https: www.warmwelcome.uk
