Award-winning Pan-Asian street food, UNAGI is set to open a stunning new restaurant in Altrincham

Originally established in lockdown 2020, Neo-Tokyo inspired eatery Unagi is expanding once again, welcoming another site to the bustling area of Altrincham in South Manchester on the 25th October, adding a new venue to their already impressive roster of locations.
Famed for their delicious street food offerings and masterfully hand rolled sushi dishes, Unagi is the proud winner of the People’s Choice 2022 British Street Food Awards, Northern Heats.
With an already established presence in Timperley, Wilmslow, Didsbury, MediacityUK & Cheetham Hill, their new Altrincham site is set to open very soon, 16 months on from their original spot in Central Altrincham, where they traded out of a small food truck. Their new dine-in restaurant, complete with Japanese inspired cocktails and strikingly colourful lighting is reminiscent of an evening in Tokyo, offering a whole new Unagi dining experience.
Alongside well loved menu staples including their chicken katsu curry and bang bang wings, there will be an exciting number of brand new dishes including ramen, bao buns and Japanese inspired soft serve dessert.

Unagi owner David Vanderhook says, “We can’t wait to be back in Altrincham where this all started! The project has taken much longer than we planned, but the anticipation and support of the local community has been incredible. We’re looking forward to finally opening our doors to our customers old and new.”
Unagi’s Altrincham restaurant will be situated on Central Way next to the Everyman Cinema, open 7 days a week for takeaways and Deliveroo, and will be open Wednesday – Sunday for seated diners, reservations for which are now open, guests can book here.
