Altrincham Businesses Shine at the This Is Manchester Awards 2025

A night of pride as local leaders showcase Altrincham’s creativity, enterprise and community spirit

Altrincham took centre stage at the This Is Manchester Awards 2025, with a host of the town’s leading figures recognised and celebrated at what has become known as the “Mancunian Oscars.”

The glittering ceremony, held at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Old Trafford, brought together hundreds of Greater Manchester’s most influential names in culture, business, and community. Altrincham was proudly represented by Adele Reid (CEO, ABC+ Warranty), Mark Luby (Chairman, Altrincham FC), Rob Davenport (Partner, West Beverley), Andy Conway (Founder, Underfound, winner of Business of the Year), and brothers Edward and Anthony Prophet, whose company Great British Festivals won Leading Live Event of the Year for The Brit Fest.

The night’s celebrations placed Altrincham firmly on the map as one of the North West’s most dynamic and creative communities. The town’s achievements stood proudly alongside Manchester icons such as Pep GuardiolaGary NevilleLisa StansfieldJohn Thomson, and Tim Burgess, who have all been honoured at the awards in previous years.

Andy Conway, Founder of Underfound, said:

“Winning Business of the Year in a room full of such extraordinary talent was incredible. But what made it even more special was sharing the moment with other Altrincham businesses. ”

Adele Reid, CEO of ABC+ Warranty, added:

“Altrincham has become a beacon for entrepreneurship and innovation in the North West. The This Is Manchester Awards recognised that energy, and it was fantastic to see so many familiar faces from our town celebrating together.”

Once known as a quiet market town, Altrincham has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade. Its award-winning high street revival, thriving independent scene, and fast-growing creative economy have turned it into one of the North West’s most admired destinations for business, culture and lifestyle.

Rob Davenport, Partner at West Beverley, summed it up:

“Altrincham’s success story comes from collaboration — the football club, local businesses, hospitality, and the creative industries all play their part. This recognition shows how powerful that shared spirit has become.”

From its market heritage to its modern identity as a hub of innovation and entertainment, Altrincham continues to punch above its weight — and the success at the This Is Manchester Awards 2025 proved once again that the town’s best chapters are still being written.

What a town. What a moment.
