Altrincham Business Improvement District (BID), who produce Visit Altrincham, and local Financial Advisers, Capstone Financial; are hosting an International Women's Day event as part of the Paint Altrincham Pink initiative in support of the Prevent Breast Cancer charity based at Wythenshawe Hospital. The event will take place on Friday, 8th March, at newly opened Prana, located on Ashley Road in Altrincham.
Themed "International Women’s Day: Stronger Together - Sharing Success," the event aims to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women from diverse fields. Attendees can look forward to an inspiring lineup of speakers from the worlds of business as well as health, and wellbeing, offering valuable insights and empowering stories. Guest speakers include Rimi Thapar (Co-Founder & CEO at Love Raw), Kate Hulley, (Owner Belmont Packaging), Sarah Fogg, (Founder Brows by Sarah), Janine Brink (Financial Planner, Capstone Financial), Sarah Jones (Project You) and Zoe Rivers (Founder, Beyond Barriers).
There will also be a fashion show which will showcase the latest collections from some of Altrincham’s independent boutiques.
Sarah Healey, Capstone Financial said, “We are incredibly excited to be working with Altrincham BID on this event. Having the opportunity to bring together some brilliant women in business and have them share their stories of success and also challenges faced, will hopefully inspire many. Prana is a great venue to host this, with up to 80 people attending for an afternoon to inspire and celebrate the achievements of the women around us and contribute to a great cause”.
"The fashion show and all the generous raffle prize donations from local businesses, should also help to make the afternoon a standout event in the community calendar. By hosting this International Women's Day event as part of Paint Altrincham Pink, we are able to support the Prevent Breast Cancer charity to raise money for such a good cause. Prevent Breast Cancer is the only UK charity committed solely to predicting and preventing breast cancer and is based locally at the Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital”.

Mandy White, Altrincham’s BID Manager added, “Altrincham’s businesses show huge support each year for Paint Altrincham Pink, and we would encourage the community to come and support this great cause. Other anchor events include ‘Unravelling the Ribbon’ at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse (19th-24th March). The play is a touching and humorous story of three women whose lives are touched by breast cancer.
