Affordable Luxury fashion boutique to open as council invests in the Grafton Quarters’ Bright Future

‘Sukis Wardrobe’ is an affordable luxury fashion boutique offering clothing and
accessories from ethically minded, independent brands. With a bustling shop and following already established in Saddleworth; ‘Sukis Wardrobe’ is pleased to offer its bold and edgy signature style to the women of Altrincham when it opens its doors at the beginning of September.
As part of the council’s investment to make Altrincham a ‘more attractive place to live, visit, shop, invest and enjoy, 1’ ‘Sukis Wardrobe will transform a disused Grafton Centre unit into an ethically minded fashion hub; providing local employment and development opportunities and attracting new visitors to the town. The regenerated shop will also sit next to a bold and colourful mural which is being created as part of the councils ‘#BrightFutures’ community arts project.

Bekka Simpson, Founder of ‘Sukis Wardrobe,’ opened her first shop in 2018 after recognising that women deserved better access to high quality fashion from independent, ethically led brands. As a solo female founder with over 15 years experience in the luxury retail industry and a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Styling under her belt, Bekka strongly believes that supporting local, independent, brands is the key to growing strong high streets and communities. Bekka says:
“We really believe that the people of Altrincham reflect the clothes we sell and will appreciate what we offer. We are all passionate about helping women of all ages to feel their absolute best and believe that there’s no better feeling than wearing something that makes you feel confident and empowered.
I’m a firm believer that dressing is an exercise in freedom of choice and independence of thought… your right to be unique. The power of a simple slip of fabric is astounding!
You can be whoever you want to be whilst still staying true to yourself and that is why I love fashion so much and have chosen it as my life’s path.
I love being able to share this ethos with the world through the outlet of Suki’s Wardrobe – it’s so liberating. We really can’t wait to provide a space where people can feel safe to experiment, break the rules and express themselves through fashion. Bringing creative women together through the store is such a rewarding experience for me, so to be able to do this in such an artistic and buzzing town as Altrincham is a fantastic opportunity and something I’m very excited about. “

‘Sukis Wardrobe’ will open in September and local residents and business owners will be invited to celebrate the launch with the team.
