Deux (Two of us)

A wonderful, tender, sweet movie
Nina and Madeleine, two retired women, have been secretly in love for decades. From everybody’s point of view, including Madeleine’s family, they are simply neighbours living on the top floor of their building, coming and going between their two apartments.

Until suddenly their relationship is turned upside down by an unexpected event, leading Madeleine’s daughter to slowly unveil the truth about them.

This unique cooperation presents an opportunity to see a wide range of French films with English subtitles, some of which may not have been released commercially in the UK. Each film will be introduced by a member of Alliance Française de Manchester, who will also conduct the post-screening discussion.

Screenings will be at Altrincham Little Theatre on a full-size cinema screen. Complimentary refreshments will be offered in the theatre bar.
