Established in 2010 by Alan Savage and Lucy Gill, Home Instead Altrincham, Sale & Wythenshawe was founded with a mission to improve the lives of older people by enabling them to remain living independently in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by their belongings, precious memories, and familiar routines, for as long as possible.

Today, we support more than 150 clients across Altrincham, Sale and Wythenshawe, supported by over 100 Care Professionals and a dedicated local office team.

Every care package we provide is tailored to the individual’s needs and requirements.  Whether someone requires companionship, home help, personal care, specialist dementia support, or a private live-in carer residing in their home, we offer compassionate and flexible home care services designed to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

Our domiciliary service offers a minimum of one-hour visits ensuring Care Professionals have the time to provide meaningful, unhurried support and build trusted relationships. We carefully match each client with a small, consistent team of Care Professionals, ensuring familiar faces, continuity of care, and visits that take place at agreed times. We also offer Live-in Care — the care home alternative — which allows someone to stay living in the comfort of their own home, with the reassurance of a carer living with them and providing support whenever they need it.

Our respite live-in care service is an increasingly popular alternative to residential care, supporting recovery following a hospital stay, family breaks, end-of-life support, one-to-one support, emergency care, and rehabilitation.

Alongside our care services, we are proud to be an active community partner. We produce and distribute our free community magazine and What’s On guide, Live Well Your Way, which is available in libraries, pharmacies, GP surgeries, and community venues across the area.

Live Well Your Way highlights local events, clubs, activities, support groups, lunches, and social opportunities. It is designed to help people stay connected to their communities, remain active, and reduce isolation and loneliness by making it easier to access what is happening locally.

Through both our care services and our community work, we are committed to helping people live well, stay connected, and remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible.

We are also proud to be an employer of choice, providing meaningful work and a supportive environment for local people through our recruitment programme.
